When should I start grooming my puppy?
We recommend introducing your puppy as soon as he/she receives their second set of shots. They’re usually 10-12 weeks at this time. It is important to start them young so that they’re familiar with the grooming process.
How often should my dog(s) be groomed?
We recommend maintaining your dog on a 6-8 week schedule. This will allow us to develop a strong bond with your dog. Bringing them every 6-8 weeks will also help to prevent them from matting which will allow us more versatility with their coat. It will also keep them looking their best!
How long will my dog’s grooming service be?
There is never a time guarantee. We pride ourselves in quality over quantity and in order to achieve quality, we need the necessary time. Upon arrival, we can give you an approximate time but will generally call you when your dog is ready.
Are vaccinations required in order to get my dog groomed?
Yes. For the protection of your dog and all other dogs at Pawlish, all dogs must be up to date on their vaccines.
If my dog is matted, but I don’t want them shaved, can you brush them out?
Depending on the severity of the matting, yes they can be brushed out. Dematting is an extra $10.00 per half hour. However, if your dog is severely matted, then the only option is to give them a shorter trim.
Am I able to stay while my pet is being groomed?
We welcome you to come and tour our facilities, but while your pet is on the table we ask that you wait up front. Most pets become very excited when they see their owners, and we want to make each grooming experience as relaxing as possible.
